Product Information
What is triacontanol?
Triacontanol is a naturally occurring wax component that is also found in the wax layers of plants such as alfalfa. Our triacontanol is obtained from beeswax—science describes the substance as a natural plant growth regulator (PGR).
When used in its optimized form, it boosts the plant's efficiency at the cellular level and supports key metabolic processes from germination through harvest.
Molecular formula
C₃₀H₆₂O
Mode of action
Cellular — not a nutrient, an impulse.

Research
What the Research Says
In field studies on rice, yield increases of between 5% and 51% compared to untreated controls were measured, depending on dose and location [1][2], while a large meta-analysis of 46 international field trials across various crops found no significant effect in most cases [4].
The active ingredient has also been linked in research to increased photosynthetic activity, such as higher RuBisCO activity and CO₂ fixation [3][4]. A recent study on tomatoes under controlled greenhouse conditions showed a 28% higher total yield, though with smaller individual fruits [5].
The effect is strongly dose-dependent: low concentrations promoted growth in several studies, while higher doses showed the opposite, yield-reducing effect in independent studies [3][4][6] – the dose used in our product is therefore deliberately aligned with the low, literature-described effective window.
The studies cited refer to the active ingredient triacontanol in external, independent research, not to a product-specific efficacy test of BloomCraft Boosters Triacontanol.
